The Vindicator Racing Team is heading back to Florida, this time for the St. Petersburg NOOD regatta. Again there is a very strong fleet, totalling 48 boats. Vindicator is joined by another local Melges 24, Tom Wyman's Hot Seat, also from CSA. |

Jan 2008 - Key West Race Week
The Vindicator Racing Team is back for another year of great national racing. This year we’re racing on our newly refurbished Melges 24, with a new sponsor; The Maune-Raichle Law Firm. Apr 2007 - Top 10 at Annapolis NOOD
A top 10 result in the biggest fleet Vindicator has faced so far! We benefited from our practice weekend with a coach and were 8th in this 45 boat fleet. Conditions were light and variable for the annual NOOD regatta. Read full story. |

Jan 2007 - Key West Race Week.
We expected a heavy air regatta and instead we encountered Lake Carlyle winds with ocean waves and rollers. The wind difference was, the persistent shifts back and forth had no pattern. A left shift would last for 20-30 minutes, then 2 minutes, and so on, and we never figured out which side was truly favored. The team simply has had very little experience in this condition. Click

The Vindicator Racing Team has just completed the last of 6 Leukemia Cup Regattas for 2006 with another racing victory; this one on the majestic waters off the Savannah Yacht Club in Savannah Georgia. After racing in 4 consecutive Leukemia Cup Regattas since our last major competition, Vindicator headed to Newport RI and the Rolex Big Boat Championships; a regatta that would test how far we have come. This event was hosted by the New York Yacht Club, the same place that most of the America’s Cup Regattas have been hosted at, prior to losing the cup in ’83. Read More... |

This extremely unique fund raising/ racing team is based out of Carlyle Lake outside of St. Louis and is co-owned and skippered by Rick Bernstein, and co-owned by Marcus Raichle. Their J-105 just completed regattas in St. Louis, Seattle, New Jersey and Annapolis -- regattas that raised over $350,000 in four weeks. The team itself donated over $30,000, and they next will compete in the Chicago and Savannah LCR’s in the coming months. To donate and check out the team’s website" |

2006 - A Win in Annapolis.
Vindicator finishes 4 week mega tour of Leukemia Regattas with another victory, this one in Annapolis, Maryland. Joined by Dan and Tobi Moriarty, along with Rick, Marcus, Tommy and Smitty, Vindicator convincingly won both Saturday races of the Annapolis LCR to claim victory and the team's 3rd LCR win in a row, that included Seattle and New Jersey. Vindicator's unique racing model caught the eye of the Annapolis Media as the team had a HUGE write-up in the local newspaper. The team will take a 4 week break before heading to Newport Rhode Island and the Rolex Big Boat Championships in Mid July. Gallery. |

2006 - Keyport Conquest.
Fresh off their Seattle victory, Vindicator hit the East Coast with a roar and took top honors at the Key Port New Jersey Leukemia Cup. With winds from 20-30 on Saturday and 15-25 Sunday, Vindicator finished with a 1, 1, 2, 3, 3 to win 1st place overall in class plus 1st place for race performance on Sunday, 2nd place for race performance on Saturday, and, the club's highest honor as winner of the most competative fleet, which is a crystal and wood perpetual trophy that Vindicator's name will be forever etched into. 2006 - Victory in Seattle.
Marcus Raichle’s sailboat racing team returned from their second stop on their Leukemia Cup Regatta racing tour with an unexpected victory at the Seattle Leukemia Cup Regatta. 88 boats participated, and the Simmons Cooper Vindicator Race Team finished first in their class of J-105s. The wind conditions were light and fluky which was right where the Vindicator team excels being experienced in these Midwest type of conditions. Read More... |

2006 - Vindicator in 1st of 6 Leukemia Cup Regattas.
The event took place at Carlyle Lake outside of St. Louis, MO, on
Memorial Day Weekend. Vindicator finished 5th in the 18 boat fleet,
ending the regatta with a convincing victory in the last race of the
weekend. Vindicator’s sponsor, the law firm of Simmons Cooper,
presented a $5,000 donation check to the Gateway Chapter pushing the
weekends total fund raising to over $50,000. Read More... |

2006 - Vindicator in Carlyle for first time.
With the conclusion of the Florida events (Key West, St. Pete NOOD &
Miami), Phase I of the racing schedule came to a successful conclusion.
Vindicator is now at Lake Carlyle, IL, getting ready for some local
racing and the Leukemia Cup Regatta which takes place over Memorial Day

2006 - Key West Regatta a big success!
US-649 was delivered to Key West about a week before the event, With allot
of work, she was commissioned and prepared for an intense first ever
week of sailing! A good team was put together and they set themselves a
list of goals, that resulted in a very successful week, finishing 15th. Click
